Gerald Murphy
Gerald Murphy’ grew up in East Orange, New Jersey and moved to Falls Church, Virginia where he attended Falls Church High School. Upon finishing High School, he moved to Philadelphia and joined the Labors Union in 1984 until he retired in 2004 from the Local Union in New Jersey.
Gerald loves helping others and began working as a junior intern at the National League of Cities in Washington, DC, while his mother worked for Patricia Harris, the former Secretary of HUD.
Gerald worked with “Boys to Men” and famous tour manager Qadree El-Amin; traveling around the world doing concerts and meeting amazing people along the way, that he now calls friends.
In 2018, Gerald become the “West Ward District 10 Leader”, his community involvement expands to several church based programs; such as food pantries and other community organizations.
Gerald has brought many groups, community organizations and events together with his charismatic demeanor for a positive cause. He always strives for equal opportunity and justice for the betterment of all people.
Gerald has a business consultant company, Murphy and Neville Consultants, LLC.
Gerald is married to Deborah and together they are the proud parents of five children and one granddaughter.
